Watford Borough Council has joined forces with key attractions in the town to promote all the great things that are happening across Watford over the winter season. This as you will see has provided great profile for the market.
New Watford Market is proud to be working alongside: Watford Colosseum, The Big Skate, Watford Palace Theatre, IntechnologyWiFi and Intu Watford. Elected Mayor Dorothy Thornhill said: “We always think big in Watford – and this year, we are keen to be everyone’s favourite festive destination. However, budgets are decreasing so we have pooled resources with our partners, to ensure as many people as possible know about all the great things we have on offer.”
For those actively on social media, Winter In Watford have created a unique hashtag #WinterInWatford for any pictures posted up on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Statistics have shown that within the first three weeks of the launch of WiW website tweet generated 4869 impressions /30 retweets. Watford For You (WFY) in early November received about 52K twitter impressions . The German Christmas Market promo video reached about 10K worth of people in Hertfordshire. Let’s forget about the market’s instagram account, reaching 169 posts from #WinterInWatford hashtag.
