Bringing You A Safer Market
This summer we joined the Real Deal ranks by signing the charter with Hertfordshire County Council Trading Standards team.
By doing so we’ve reiterated our commitment to protect our shoppers from fake products, and further ensuring the goods sold by our traders are safe. As our executive director, Andrew Sparrow, said: “Signing the Real Deal Charter we are giving an assurance to customers that they can shop at the market with confidence.”
But it isn’t just our customers who will benefit from our market signing this charter, as our director said: “We are also able to offer advice to traders together with a strong message that we will only allow stalls selling safe and genuine products.” So new, as well as established, traders can start their market venture of on the right track, and reassure their customers that their business sells legal and safe goods.
This charter is a great step to modernising markets. It was created in consultation with market operators, trading standards, industry and trademark representatives to sign up to and then abide by. By New Watford Market joining the 415 markets in signing up to the charter we are showing our commitment to fair and safe trading in the market.
So, you heard it here first, folks. New Watford Market is the Real Deal – and that’s official.
