Sunday 25th October! It’s one of the biggest Hindu festivals that commemorate the triumph of light over darkness. What makes this event truly special is the sense of unity it brings out within the community. They’ll be nothing but jam-packed activities; live performances, food tasting and more! And to finish off the day, we’ll be hosting the Festival of Light celebration, where members of the public can join in with the floating lanterns and lighting the tea lights over the pond.
The Diwali event will also include:
*Arts & Crafts workshops
*Rangoli art – Flower designs made from coloured sand
*Authentic Indian dishes and traditional sweets
*flame and pyrotechnics display
*Traditional Henna designs
*Musical sessions and dancers from different community groups
This event is in fact FREE and is open to all cultural backgrounds interested in the traditional declaration of the Indian culture.
